Looking Back

Hey,

in this post i want to give you a review of my sty here in Queenswood.
The first few days were a little bit difficult because I didn't know anyone here. But then I met some new friends and we had a good time.
We had about 130 lessons in 4 weeks which is quite a lot, so I was very tired the whole 4 weeks, but luckily we had some activities like football, swimming or other things. And of course some excursions, most of them were interesting, but some were very boring, like the Shakespeare Theatre or the art museum.
The food was okay, only breakfast wasn't that good, because it was eevery day the same and not that good. It was possible to eat cookies in the breaks and so i became a little bit fat, probably 1 or 2 kilos more ... xD

All in all it was a good time here, i learned much english and met some new friends from different countries.

British Culture

Hey,

today I want to inform you about the British culture, food, people and weather.
At first the food. In Queenswood the breakfast is okay, but not that good, because it is always the same. Lunch is much better, especially the chicken tastes very good. Dinner is similar to Luch so i don't have to write something else ;)
The people here are nice, but some are very unfriendly. I don't know why ...
The weather is often changing, but most times it is raining here. But luckily the weather was always good when I played football.

Daily life in Queenswood

Hello,

some information about my life in Queenswood. We have to get up at 7:15 every day. Breakfast starts at 8 o'clock. The lessons start at 9:15, and they are 1,5 h long. After each "double" lesson we have a 20 minute break. The first 4 lessons are academic lessons, so it is about grammar and vocabulary. After these academic lessons we have one E-com lesson, we can refresh our blog there.
After lunch, which starts at 1 pm, we have 2 workshop lessons (1,5 h), I have chosen the FCE Preparation, which is helpful for the Cambrigde Certificate. We do there nearly the same things, reading, writing, speaking and so on. The last 2 lessons are Tuturial-lessons, we can talk there about problems and we have to prepare a 5 minute show, we have to present the show on Friday evening ... You know, that I hate such things, but I have to to it, bad luck, because I propably have to do it twice ... (4 weeks).
In the evening I have Pro-Football, you can see the coach here:
http://www.arsenal.com/ladies/coaching-staff/john-bayer
There are 2 more coaches called Loui and David. Sometimes here are some assistens like the captain of the womens national team.
Others can choose between tennis, football, table tennis, badminton and swimming.
After that we have free time, normally I relax with my friends somewhere.
At 11 pm is bedtime.

So all in all it is quite good here, much lessons, but that's good. And in the evening free time and sports, thats very good.

Trip to London

Hello again,

On Thursday we went with our teachers from Lines to London, there we did a nice tour. One of the interesting points was Westminster Abbey:

After looking at Westminster we went to the Big Ben, which was very interesting, too.

Our guide loves the James Park so we walked through it, I was impressed by the animals living there, for example some rare birds like the pelican.

The most interesting thing happend at theBuckingham Palace, it was when the Guards changed.
On the following picture you can see the old guard. There are two guards of the Queen, the old one and the new one. We saw both. It was amazing, because there were thousands of people.

The last station was the British Museum. It is a huge building and inside you can see unbelievable things. For example old mummies or helmets from the Angle Saxons.
We were there for approximately on hour. Then we drove back to Queenswood.
